Winter 2021 | 5 COVID-19 Prescription Alert in NRx and PrimeCare The North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBoP) mandated that all COVID-19 medications have a diagnosis code on the prescription that coincides with the virus before pharmacists can dispense them for that reason. Z-pack is one of those Rxs. Other BoP may follow suit. To remind your staff to pay special attention to COVID-related prescriptions before filling: 1. Go to the Clinical section of the Drug Record. 2. Under Notes, turn on Override Required , and add comments accordingly. Automatic Daily Filling Your time is valuable, and your role has expanded far beyond solely filling prescriptions. Pair Health- Minder ® with InstantFill ® , so what displays on the report is automatically refilled every day. 1. Go to Reports > Management > HealthMinder . 2. On the Select Options screen, click Manage . 3. Click New and name the report “For Report Sched Only.” Click Save . 4. Complete the Select Options as follows: y Store/Rx Class = Store number and class numbers 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 y Date Refill Due = TODAY to pull all prescriptions that are due to be refilled Note: You can also use Today+X amount to indicate to the system to not only look for today, but additional days, too. y Refills Rem = Yes to pull only prescriptions that have refills remaining 5. Click Next to advance to the Sort Options. Click Next again. 6. Ensure the following Print Options are set: y Report = YES y InstantFill = YES 7. Now, it’s time to set up the report to run automatically on a daily basis. Go to Store Control > Report Scheduler . Click New . 8. Expand the Management Reports folder and select HealthMinder . In the drop-down box, select For Report Sched Only . Click Next . 9. On the New Scheduled Report screen, select the desired run time. Click Finish . Note: For the Report Scheduler to run, the following criteriamust bemet at the time the report is supposed to run: y Theremust be at least one person signed into NRx at the time the report is scheduled to run. y The printer selected to print the report must be online and connected to QS/1 before the scheduled time.
