Winter 2021 | 4 Quick Clicks & Tips Controlled Substance Reporting y Kentucky and Oklahoma are moving to ASAP format 4.2B for controlled substance reporting starting January 1, 2021. y Nebraska mandates that pharmacies and vendors report their PDMP data daily. They also require pharmacies to report ALL medications, not just controlled substances. All medications, regardless of state or federal class, should be written to the Rx Monitoring Log for PMP Data Collection based on Date Sold (aka TX Signature date). Nebraska customers need to be on Service Pack 19.1.33 at minimum to be compliant. Rx Correction for Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) PMPs were created to track prescriptions, which helps identify and deter drug misuse and diversion. So, before you submit information to your state-based database, do your due diligence to ensure its accuracy. 1. Go to Reports > Third Party > Third-Party Billing Forms . 2. Insert the state code. 3. Add the Rx number on the Select Options screen. Note: You can add up to four Rxs per line with a space in between. 4. On the Print Option Values screen, type C for Correction. Do not leave blank. 5. Click Finish . 6. The Browse File pop-up window displays. Type the file path and check Write to Secondary , if you’re not on the server. 7. Click Continue . Now, you can upload the form to the state’s PMP website. Legal Requirement for Pennsylvania On faxed or printed transfer prescriptions, the prescription’s transaction history must display. We currently do not populate this information on forms. The workaround to ensure compliance is to have pharmacy staff manually enter the transaction history on the Rx Summary screen under the Rx Notes or enter it in the History under the Transaction Information tab in the Notes field.
